Trip to Iowa for GLOBE ONE, April, 2004
David Brooks and Debra Krumm (from the GLOBE office at Colorado State University, Fort
Collins, Colorado) visited Iowa in April, to talk about GLOBE programs and
scientist/teacher/
student partnerships at the annual meeting of the Iowa Academy of
Science, held at the University of Northern Iowa. Dr. Brooks also met with GLOBE teacher
Kelen Panec at Central Intermediate School in Waterloo, Iowa. During that visit, Dr. Brooks and
one of Mrs. Panec's students built a sun photometer from a kit provided by Marcy Seavey, the
Iowa coordinator for the GLOBE ONE project.
